Apple Store

The entertainment center is anchored by the centralized Apple Store, which serves as the buildings central circulation core with a large entrance onto the busy Hollywood Boulevard and adjacent iPark.

iPark

Central pathing space along the iPark provides easy access to the Apple Store and Residential Housing Lobby, with additional easy access to the adjacent iPark music festival and performance space.

iPark - Music Festival

A great portion of the exterior iPark along Hollywood Boulevard is dedicated to music, arts, and festival space proposed to be provided by Apple. The mobility of the stages allows for any number of stage sizes and location. The space proposed to be a new kind of media and arts center for Hollywood's residents.

iStudio - Floorplan

The proposed iStudio is designed investigates the idea of fucntionalism and maximization of square footage. At 250 square feet, the small studio would fall into the afforfdable housing demographic, providing all basic living needs for single tenants.

iLive Apartment - Floorplan

Young professionals, college students, and small families are targeted by the 2-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom 500 square foot apartment unit. A shared bathroom is provided, along with a powder room for the living space, allowing for a nice separation between private and public spaces.

iHostel - Dining Space

The common dining area of the iHostel serves as the circulation hub and central social space of the hostel, which allows out of country and out of state residents shelter while visiting and passing through the Hollywood area. Mobile Bed units flank the space, allowing for amorphous entry.

iCafe

Situated on the corner of Wilcox Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, the iCafe serves the Hollywood tourist and resident community at all hours of the day, turning into a bar / restaurant at night on cetrain occasions.

iHostel - Exercise Space

This space allows the transient residents of the hostel to focus on health and well-being while visiting Hollywood and surrounding Los Angeles.

Museum of Cinema - Lobby

The central lobby of the Museum of Cinema allows access to the underground iTheatres and above ground Museum of Cinema. Here explore all facets of film and the moving image.

Mobile Concessions

Space is allotted for mobile concessions in both the middle portion of the apple store extending outwards into the adjacent iPark. Here manufacturers and other brands can share the unique and vibrant commercial atmosphere that occurs in the Apple Store.

Section AA

A Sectional study of iBuilding cutting longitudinally through the Apple Store. Interior wall space of both the Museum of Cinema and iHostel is alloted to both Apple Branding and display of interior programmatic activity via human shadows, playing of the Apple silhoette ad campaign.

Diagrams

Here the functionalism and dynamism of Apple's brand is explored, with a focus on human interactivity and lifestyles. The proposed dancing pads would be placed along Hollywood Boulevard, flanking the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition the proposed mobile iHostel bed unit is explored.
