Western Avenue Perspective

The facade of the 2nd Floor Expansion to the existing Our Weekly Office building exudes an unassuming architectural language, with distinct separtion from the street to ensure the privacy necesarry for activities occuring within the space.

Secondary Entry Patio

The secondary entry patio is accessed through gated entry from Western Avenue, and is designed to serve as both the entrance for large groups of kids in addition to supplementary outdoor space for events and activities within the space.

Classroom

The classroom of that serves the building is very adaptable, separated by a partition that provides spaces either a 240 S.F Classroom or two 120 S.F tutorial / meeting spaces. This flexibility allows the organization to provide learning spaces in a variety of ways.

Computer Lab

The main circulation corridor of the Children's Wing is the Computer Lab, which provides copious amounts of space to allow student traffic while comfortably providing a work environment for students who partake in orgizational activities.

Multi-Purpose Space

A multitude of activities can occur within this space, including but not limitid to: Town-Hall Meetings, Workshops, Lectures, and community banquets and gatherings. The spaces is divided by a mobile partition wall, and is connected to its own private storage space to support the numerous activities.

Soundroom / Newsroom

The main derivitive of the Urban Media Foundation, introducing children to innovative media outlets, is encouraged with the newsroom and soundroom, which are flanked on all sides with soundproof panels, ensuring confortable sonic conditions in both the inside and outside of the space.

Computer Lab

The main circulation corridor of the Children's Wing is the Computer Lab, which provides copious amounts of space to allow student traffic while comfortably providing a work environment for students who partake in orgizational activities.

South Elevation / Alley Facade

The southern elevation displays the connection intended with the streetscape, with the alley serving as both and automotive corridor in addition to possible outdoor event space for community gatherings, bazaars, and workshops.

Western Avenue Elevation

The front facade shows the relationship the 2nd Floor Expansion shares with the existing Our Weekly building, with easy access to both institutions from the central building entrance along Western Avenue.
